I had the opportunity to see preaching buddy and fellow blogger Patrick Mead last weekend. He was the speaker at a Men’s Retreat in Louisville, Ohio. He spoke on integrity, and as usual he was humorous, informative, and insightful.
We had our annual Glow Bowling last night. Each year, on the Sunday evening before MLK day, our church takes over a local bowling alley from 9:30 until midnight. We bowl, eat, play games, perform the YMCA song (at least some of us do), and just have a good time. Our fellowship ministry does a great job of putting the event together each year. My high score last night was 178 — not bad considering I hadn’t bowled since this time last year.
I was very disappointed to see Green Bay lose to the Giants last night. I really wanted to see Brett Favre in the Super Bowl again — he is one of my all-time favorite players. His hard work, great attitude and sportsmanship is such a contrast to Eli (“if I get drafted by San Diego, I’ll take my ball and go home”) Manning. I’ll be rooting hard for a Patriots win in the big game.

Glow Bowling was great, but the highlight was not YMCA, but you Stayin’ Alive.
AS for the game … I might have to uninvite you to our party. Rooting for the Patriots is rooting against a brother-in-Christ, you know.
Never been good at bowling, but every year I beat one of the deacons which makes it a fun trip.
