As a runner, I am constantly in search of the Perfect Running Shoe. It can be a frustrating search. I’ve come close to finding it a few times, but then the manufacturer always changes or discontinues that particular shoe. And I don’t have enough money to buy several pairs at once. So I keep searching.

I really like my current pair (Nike Air Zoom Hayward) shown above. I’ve only logged about 30 miles in them, but so far they are some of the best shoes I’ve had in quite some time. They are lightweight, flexible and have good cushioning. But they are getting hard to find, which tells me….. you guessed it….. Nike is going to discontinue (or change) them.
The search continues…..

Funny I have that problem myself too but with just shoes period once I find a comfortable pair I like they stop making them.
Even funnier is that you get the same thing with church worship service. It seams like just when you have found the comfortableness you enjoy something changes. Well same as with the shoes things were ment to change. It’s done often because there is something new discover that will give us better comfort and more milage. Same with worship.
We just have to watch that we don’t just change for change sake like the shoes do often just to promote new shoe sales but to do it for more confort and milage in our abilities to worhip the Great I AM.
Glad to meet a fellow runner. Funny how running shoes are SO important to runners and everyone has their opinions. I am NOT a Nike fan. I’ve spent to much money on shoes that are over advertised that have left me disappointed. But at the same time others love them.
I’m a adidas fan. Love them. Get more miles and comfort out of them than any other shoes. BUT, that’s just my opinion.
As for running equiptment. I’d much rather have a good mp3 player for music and sermons. I love hearing someone preach while I run. Great for spiritual growth time.
Blessings and long runnings,
Trey
I’m not a runner (or even much of a walker, any more, which I was just talking about in comment over on Donna’s blog), but do have to have really good supportive and comfortable shoes since I’ve had so many problems with my feet in the past, both ancient and recent. That’s from being diabetic 37 years, of course.
Anyway – I’m a big fan of Nikes, myself. I have to wear good Nikes most of the time to keep from accidentally breaking my foot again without knowing it. The last time that happened, I had no clue how I broke the bone in my foot whatsoever, but it cost me seven months at home totally off my foot and on crutches for a week and then (thanks to my blessed mom) a scooter.
So you guys have fun running, but be careful out there!
Cheers & Blessings to you all today! Dee
