The latest fad in the Blogging world is to name five blogs that make you think (and bestow upon them the Thinking Blogger Award). I’ve never been one to shy away from fads, so here is my list:
Patrick Mead — It seems that Patrick always has something timely, interesting, challenging, informative, humorous and insightful to say. He has blessed me and my ministry greatly.
Mark Frost — Mark was our minister for the first three years of our marriage (in those golden days before I myself became a minister). He has been a big influence on my ministry, and his blog always makes me think. Oh, and he’s my roommate in the Pastors of Excellence Program.
David Underwood — David’s blog is such an encouragement to me. I’ve never met him, but I feel like I’ve known him for years. David is the one who opened my eyes to the writings of Donald Miller, and I will always be thankful for that.
Donna G. — Donna is another one that seems like an old friend, though we’ve never met. We share an interest in NASCAR and Alabama football. Donna is a deep thinker who edifies and challenges me. Her writings make me want to be a better man, husband, father, friend, and minister.
Trey Morgan — I’ve only been reading Trey’s blog for a few months now, but I always look forward to it. It is very thoughtful, practical, and often funny.
I am hesitant to list just five because I am blessed by so many, and I hate to leave someone out. But as I looked through the list of the blogs I frequent, these were the ones that really stood out. Now, let’s hear the acceptance speeches from the winners…..

Wow! I am so honored. I hope we get to meet some day…classic rock,NASCAR, baseball…too much in common to not meet.
Thanks for the kudos!
Oh…and of course Roll Tide!!!
First of all, I am not worthy…….but thank you for your generous comments.
Secondly, my feelings are hurt that you said Donna is a part of the Crimson nation……..but you didn’t include me! What’s up with that?
I count it a joy and honor to call you my brother!
In HIM,
DU
Too Cool. Thanks bro. I wanted to go with the old line, “They love me, they really love me!” but I thought that was a little lame.
I’m honored that your read and find it worth coming back and checking out again.
I have to agree though, Donna is cool for a girl!!!
I blog, therefore I am. I think.
Thanks for the award, bro. It’s an honor knowing you.
Thanks, Jeff! Good to know you enjoy the blog(s). Hope to see you again sometime — on your turf or mine.
