Since October is Pastor Appreciation Month, let me share an article my wife wrote for Wineskins Magazine a few years ago. It deals with the work of a Minister. My wife is certainly qualified to talk about this, being both a Minster’s wife AND a Minister’s daughter.
Read the article Here.

thank you so much for that article. Your wife is a wise woman and a blessing to us all. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate her words.
Shalom,
Bobby Valentine
Thanks, Jeff, for this post. I’ve linked to this article in my post for today. Please let your wife know how much she is appreciated, as well! Where would we be without our wives? May God continue to richly bless both of you and your ministries! -bill
Very good post…Hey! We appreciate you guys!
Jeff -
I see your comments around all the time and I used to read your posts once in a while when you had your old blog (I think I may have even commented a time or two, but I’m not sure), but I hadn’t been here. Good looking website. I really like it.
We travel in much the same circles, don’t we?! Great bunch all, including you.
I’m commenting today to compliment your wife (and thus you for marrying her!) on her wonderful article. I followed Bill’s link and read it. Sadly, I know that it is very true because my entire life I’ve been close friends with ministers and their families. My dad was an elder and we always were close to the ministers he worked with.
My brother was going to go into the ministry full time, but at the last minute at ACU went into social work, instead. He’s always preached a whole lot, though, as a lay minister for struggling congregations and his wife’s dad was a minister for years in Oklahoma.
I appreciate your service and greatly admire your wife for her courage to speak up and speak out. I agree with her wholeheartedly in all she says and will pass her article along to our elders here right now in Picayune as they look for a new minister to come work here.
I’ll have to come back around more often.
Thanks for your post about your wife’s article.
Jeff,
I came to your blog via Bill Williams. You have a very nice blog! I will be back.
Jeff, I’ve tried to clean up Jill’s article on the NW site – thanks to your link!
How have I managed to miss your blog this long?
