I think the Tigers may be for real. They swept the Cards this weekend, and they have the best record in baseball. They have had so many losing seasons that I keep expecting them to fade, but it looks like they have a genuine winner. Hopefully their young pitchers can hold up through the dog days of August.

On another note…..someone from Canton, Ohio who uses RoadRunner for their ISP was the 10,000th visitor to my blog. If you think it might be you, post a comment to identify yourself, and I will honor you. And maybe even send you a small prize.

Does anyone else watch the show “Little People, Big World” on TLC? It’s a reality show about a family of little people. I catch it from time to time and always find it very interesting. They seem like a great family, and it’s fascinating to see how they overcome challenges that those of us of “average height” would never imagine.

Jeff, even though I live up here, baseball is something that bores me to tears. Not that I liked cricket that much, either. It went on forever, but at least you got cucumber sandwiches! I like TLC but never watch “Little People, Big World” because, as the 5-8 father of a 6-4 son, I already feel like I’m living it!
Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the kind words, and also for the link on your blogroll. (I didn’t know what a blogroll was until today!) I will also update your link on my site. I haven’t been a very frequent poster to my blog in the past, but I am hoping to do a bit more, it’s actually quite fun!
I don’t know that my posts are as challenging and insightful as you say, but with God’s help. I do my best to make it interesting. I enjoy reading your blog myself, especially when you discuss the local sports scene here in Detroit.
Stinking Miami, the Pistons really blew that didn’t they? Hopefully the Tigers will fare better, what a season they are having so far. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we had three of the big four sports teams in Detroit finish the regular season first overall in their respective leagues? The Wings and Pistons did it, come on Tigers! (But let’s go all the way this time!)
A fellow TCOCer are you? Very cool. I love Trenton, and am glad that Debbie and I have found such a wonderful church family. It’s good to hear that you once found a home there yourself.
Blessings,
Al
Oh, those are baseball teams? I’m mostly sports-clueless (most of my friends are sports nuts). I just know the Mavs lost the NBA finals.
Glad to see you’re still out there blogging. I’ve been in and out (mostly out) but am settling down in a new ministry role now. I’ll try to stop by more often. Peace, Kevin Parker
