It’s nice to have a good Seminary in town. They have a lot of great events and speakers. Today I had the opportunity to attend an interesting, practical, and helpful conference. It was called “How To Change Your Church Without Killing It” and it was presented by Gene Appel, Lead Pastor at the Willow Creek Church in Chicago. He has written a Book on the subject.
One of the sessions was called “How To Kill Your Church Without Changing It.” I wish I had learned those lessons years ago — I might have avoided some of the mistakes I’ve made in ministry through the years.
Overall the conference was great. I feel better equipped to help lead my church through some needed changes in the coming years.

Thanks for the update, Jeff. Can you share some of the material with us?

GREAT topics. That should have been a class at ACU GST.
I had some bucks on an Amazon gift card and just ordered it (even though I’m not in leadership). I’ll read it and pass it on to one of our ministers.
