I’ve seen this on a few other blogs….. so here’s mine.
You scored as Emergent/Postmodern.
You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology.
You feel alienated from older forms of church,
you don’t think they connect to modern
culture very well. No one knows the whole
truth about God, and we have much to learn
from each other, and so learning takes place
in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in
relationships rather than through crusades
and altar-calls. People are interested in
spirituality and want to ask questions, so
the church should help them to do this.

Shamless plug: I took this test also. You can see my results at http://tinaallyn.blogspot.com
I’ll head to take that test soon…
In the midst of all this talk of postmodernism, I believe contemplative Christians such as yourself will find more solace in the emerging Critical Realism. The best place I know for Christians to start on that road is to read a book by Paul Hiebert: Missiological Implications of Epistemological Shifts: Affirming Truth in a Modern/Postmodern World. I discovered this book in a graduate Worldview and Worldview Change course. About 110 pages of reading, but be prepared to stretch…
Thanks for the recommendation, Kevin. I’ll check that out.
