Justice for a Justice
Jun 29th
The Supreme Court recently ruled that the government can sieze anyone’s private property and give it to a private developer if the government can generate greater tax benefits and revenue. One of the justices who supported this ruling was David Souter.
Well, a private developer is now seeking to use this law to build a hotel on Souter’s land in Weare, New Hampshire.
It will probably never happen, but don’t you wish it would? It would be justice for the Justice.
Read about it here.

Baby Dedication Service
Jun 22nd
I need some input.
Our church will be having a Baby Dedication Service for new babies and their parents this fall. I’ve never put a service like this together before. Any ideas?
If you’ve done this (or seen it done), give me some ideas and suggestions — or point me to some resources.
Thanks!
Theological Worldview

I’ve seen this on a few other blogs….. so here’s mine.
You scored as Emergent/Postmodern.
You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology.
You feel alienated from older forms of church,
you don’t think they connect to modern
culture very well. No one knows the whole
truth about God, and we have much to learn
from each other, and so learning takes place
in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in
relationships rather than through crusades
and altar-calls. People are interested in
spirituality and want to ask questions, so
the church should help them to do this.

Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 64%
Neo orthodox 57%

Running like the wind
Jun 6th

Yep, that’s me passing lots of runners in the beginning stages of the Bayshore 10K (the Paramedics were following close behind me…just in case). As you can see, I am terribly out of shape (though I did finish the 10K better than I thought I would). I’m hoping to run the Crim 10 miler in Flint, Michigan at the end of August. I’ve got a lot of work to do…..
We did get to see some good friends we hadn’t seen in quite some time at the race (the Hendersons, the Perretts and the Sims). I decided to do the 10K at the very last minute (urged on by friends). I was glad I did — it was a lot of fun and it felt good to do a race again. I’ll try to post some more pictures as I have time.
