Parker’s column was gutsy and creative, and I liked her analogy about windows. I do not agree with the entirety of the article, but find a lot of good material there. But, this is Jeff Slater’s blog. You’re supposed to at least leave your comments about it as well!
Jeff, I found your site by David’s and thought I’d see what other preachers blogs look like. Interesting…now if we can only convince Randy Harris to join blogging!
Hi Teresa.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I liked Parker’s column because it really struck a nerve with me. The decline of civility and basic morality in our culture is very disturbing.
I just read today about a company that is putting out t-shirts for babies with off-color and even obscene saying on them (one of them says, “B–ch Better Have My Bottle”). Some people today would say, “Oh, what’s the big deal?” Well, it is just another broken window.
Perhaps, as believers we can make a positive difference in our world, and help to repair some of those broken windows — instead of just lamenting their existence.
I would love to see a Randy Harris blog! Keep working on him.
Jeff
